FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Local area film makers compete in National 48 hour film project!

Providence, R.I. - 07/14/06 - BlackStripe Productions will be competing in the nationally acclaimed 48 hour film project. Local underdogs will have only 48 hours to write, shoot, and edit together a 4-7 minute short. Competing with film makers all across New England. They hope that like the promise of  " UTOPIA ".
They can demonstrate that there is a draw for the entertainment industry right here in New England.

Kevin Nicholson, Stephanie Bombara, Lauren Bombara, Paul Falcone, Bobby Baldasari, Brendan Wentworth,  Aaliyah Miller,  Kayte Klewin, and Neal Thomassen, Jasmine Mah, Jaymz Omrad, Sharyn Berman currently compose the team " BlackStripe " and are looking for others to join them as the battle it out with some of the most talented film crews in New England to win the 48 hour film project. The project takes place in Providence, R.I. Starting at 7:00 pm Friday to 7:00 pm Sunday. The BlackStripe team will be required to " DRAW " a film genre and then will be assigned required elements to use in the film. SafeHaven Alpaca Video.

Honestly you guys have to see this. These animals are the best.
This is an excerpt of two of the models controlling the animals while
I take some snapshots.
There was lots of footage, but I wanted to include a shot
of the cute Alpaca above falling down and playing dead.
As well as some footage of me walking the other one.
Filmmakers say that one of the most difficult things to work with
are animals and children. As you can see as cute as they are
they have a mind of their own.

Well been lightly active. The move from Putnam to Danielson should be taking place sometime this month.

Also some new photo shoots have taken place. So I'm updating my photography page today.

Quite a few weddings this month as well as some  commercial work.

Pretty excited about the next two months. A LOT of changes.

We will be back in production shortly thereafter. Keep the faith folks.

May 6th, 2005

Sorry to break this to you folks, but TOTEM:CYCLES is indefinitely postponed.
The BlackStripe home office will be moving to a new location over the next three months.

I apologize to all of you who have been waiting for the schedule all winter.

The location change was not planned and will cost more money than we would prefer.

However as things stabilize we will be picking the production back up.
I will contact all those involved to see if you still want to participate when we rejoin the world of production.

Again I was very pleased with the cast and crew that we had gathered together.
I hope we will be able to work again in the future.

Part one of TOTEM is scheduled to play at the " Arlenes Grocery picture show " an unusual festival in NYC.

I'm not sure what this means but here is how it was described........

" 256-NS TOTEM 14:00 Dir. Kevin Nicholson It’s Heathers meets Bully in a horror film that would make Clive Barker shit his pants. "
