NEW ENGLAND ACTORS

Over the years I have auditioned and worked with THOUSANDS of  New England actors.

With that in mind. I think that it is important to give some comments about some of the best and the worst. Keep in mind. The only thing worse than an actor who never shows up for an audition or a shoot are the ones that bail midway through shooting. I'll tear into them later. For now. here are my comments and commendation of the good to great actors.

( Keep in mind folks. The actors in green are ones I RECOMMEND. Just because I am critical of them does NOT mean I hate them or would not work with them again. I  am CRITICAL of performances. I am critical of my own work and abilities. You all have the right to beat the snot out of anything I do. The leaders in the entertainment industry will be far worse than anything you guys can say to me. I would rather get used to it now.  The same applies to anyone on this list. My review is my opinion, but if you expect to stay in the industry as an actor, model, or entertainer. Your going to have to be able to take criticism. I would like to think mine is candid and constructive. From any one else in the commercial end of the industry you going to get " You Suck! " or just " Next! "

So don't be a crybaby. Just get better.......

J.H. Torrance Downes - I worked with this man back in the early 90's. He was always on time and always acted. He was a pro all the way. He kept his commitment despite knowing that the project was amateur and the director immature. Now a member of SAG. I look forward to working with him on my first SAG film.

Dan Merriman - A decent actor. With a unique look.

Donald Kerr - Some of the best performances I have ever gotten came from donald.  He put so much into his work. I felt I had to put in twice as much to feel worthy of his great talent.

Beth Campbell - She always delivered the best performances. She followed direction gladly. Overall one of the best to date.

Darya Zabinski
 - She's hard to focus, but when she does I think she delivers convincing performances. She's an actress who LOOKS like she's a model. Note I said actress first. I think she has the stuff. For those reading this I would suggest using Daria for your projects. Just keep her in line.

Stephanie Bombara - Well I'm partial on this one, but I'm also a rough critic as well. She gets better every time she acts. I think it comes naturally from her. I rarely give her direction because she generally doesn't need any. She's very good at just feeling what the character is supposed to be like. She always shows up and has her lines memorized.

Edwin Beschler - I love this man. He has a superb voice and he can act.  He was very patient with us on set, and always pleasant. I still want to shoot him in a tux.

Jon McDowell - Has left the acting world in pursuit of married bliss, but he was one of the best. We will miss him.

Robert Baldassari - He is another true pro. Very greek god in build. He surprised me. I thought I was going to hate this man, but turns out. I really like him. He always shows up on time and delivers very convincingly. He's also very good with improvisation.

Steve West - Another surprise. He was soooo good. I really loves watching him in every shot. Dependable and overall excellent.

Rachael Boudreau - A true gem. Currently off the market with a bun in the oven. She's a natural for the industry as an actress and helping with production. I hope she can make the time to continue to pursue it after baking.

Cristina Cammaratta - She always gave so much in regards to performance. I look forward to working with her again soon.. Her time is tight, but if you can schedule her. I suggest it.

Bill Bravo - He's a great  actor. Fun to be on set with. Put him and Mark Foster together. I think you have a hit. He always showed and delivered well.

Mark Foster - Another one with a tight schedule. He does an excellent job and will stay the course. He's very hard on himself. So be sure to give him lots of direction. I would love to work with him on other stuff to see his range.

James Hogue - I really liked this man. He was great to work with. Good performance.

Gershon Eigner - I really loved his work,. I would use him again if I could afford to. Now AEA he's a bit difficult to cast. ( For us anyway )

Aimee Bouchard - She was really a great actress, and she's very pretty. I would love to work with her again in a gritty character role. Here is one girl I fucked over pretty bad. I recast her role after talking to some distributors early on. I regret that decision. Sorry Aimee. It's most likely not going to be my last mistake, but I regret that one.

Jim Palmisciano - Another of the pearls before swine.( I'm the swine ) He was a GREAT actor.  A pleasure to work with.

So there is the best of the best. I don't even like all of them as people, but they do deserve the grade for the work.

Below are some I would give a passing mark to, but would have to work with them more to say for certain.

Zoe Hunter - She can act., but better give her a contract with a retainer.

Spring Hill - She did a decent job acting and put up with my project in it's early stages. I liked her in getting out of Rhode Island. I think she's in L.A. now.

Juliette Rose - She needs to emote more and get down and dirty in my opinion. She's really attractive, but I would like to see her in a very HUMAN role. Something where she can get her teeth into. Some real drama and  overacting would be good. It's been a while and she keeps busy. I like her. I would like to work with her again to see if she can handle a role with some more depth than what I had her in.

Here is where it gets sticky. If you click the link below. It will transport you to the BLACK LIST. These are people who were either really bad actors, were undependable, ditched a project midway through shooting, or WORSE! Feel free to use these people if you wish, but you were warned.
